It's known for its bright cheesy shades of yellowish-orange and its classic elbows of macaroni. And it's the official #1 comfort food in my book, especially during times when you gotta cure that hangover. Seriously. What isn't more comforting than a big bowl of pasta and loads of melted cheese? Yes, I'm talking about that good, old fashioned mac and cheese. And so far, when it comes to finding the best place to enjoy this classic American dish, no place in Hoboken has come close to Backyard's Bistro Mac & Chez. Simply stated - it is to DIE for.

When you're looking for the best mozzarella in Hoboken, it's a mandatory requirement to buy from Fiore's Deli. Fiore's has been making fresh mozz for more than 96 years, perfecting the timing when the curd is ready to be stretch and shaped into those fancy thick braids. But this review is not just about their famous mozzarella. This is about Thursdays and Saturdays. This is about double-parked cars and long lines of hungry Hobokenites and outsiders who travel by and far to get a bite of one of the best sandwiches of all the mile square. It's about an insanely addicting sandwich that has even landed a guest appearance in a scene from the popular TV show, 30 Rock. Yes, my friends. I'm talking about Fiore's famous Roast Beef, Fresh Mozzarella and Gravy Hero. Just saying the name of the sandwich brings back that amazing taste. Yum!

Calling all spaghetti lovers! Get ready for the annual Spaghetti Block Party, where people gather by the Hoboken waterfront for some non-stop vacuum-suctioning of these delectable classic Italian noodles. The idea was to re-live a similar Spaghetti Block Party community event that took place in the 1950's on Washington Street. In 2005, this event was brought back in celebration for the 150 years of Hoboken and since then, has continued ever since each summer. It's pretty much a big outdoor community fiesta with lots of pasta! You must buy tickets to come to this event and don't worry, it's not too late. No man or woman is lonely eating spaghetti - it requires so much attention. So make sure you go and show spaghetti some lovin'!

Hoboken is a city filled with restaurants that claim to have the best burger. There’s a certain level of expectation created when you crown your burger the best. But which burger officially sits on the throne? Many have talked highly of Five Guys, a fast food chain that's been known for the cause of burger and mouth love affairs across the country. If you're vegan, please do not click through. As I'm about to take you on a trip to yummyville where burgers are made fresh, juicy and loaded! Anyone wanna ride shot gun while I tour this beef masterpiece?

Before O'neals, I have never dealt with the massive undertaking of a traditional Irish Breakfast. A popular dish raved across the foodie community as a plate piled-high with a full fry-up of delectable ingredients packed with distinct Irish flavors. And when it comes to those flavors, O'nieals makes sure they get it right each time, with most of their main ingredients delivered by a company specializing in fresh Irish gourmet foods. So if you're looking for an Irish restaurant that's got a nice classy, homey feel, and the food that will make you bust out that Irish stepdance, visit O'nieals and try this classic dish.

Whether you're recovering from a hangover or have the munchies for a delicious breakfast sandwich, do yourself a favor and head over to Hoboken's hidden gem, Backyard Bistro and order their infamous sandwich known as the Vermonster. This decadent sandwich is packed with classic breakfast ingredients, but what really makes this sandwich stand out is its delicious, toasted pretzel bread. When I heard rave reviews from the owner about this popular choice among locals, especially after a night of drunken debauchery, I had to give the sandwich a try. And when you have other customers sitting around you glaring at your Vermonster, telling their waiter "I'll have whatever he got", you know you made the right choice. Buuuuurp! Excuse me.

For a comfortable diner-like atmosphere and an ambiance to make your dining experience feel like you're at home, make your way towards the Hudson River and visit the infamous Turning Point. Enjoy the sensational views of the New York City skyline with their spacious outdoor seating or their tastefully decorated interiors with natural wood flooring and bright traditional colors. Compared to most Hoboken restaurants, they've got one of the largest brunch menus, with a huge variety of unique culinary creations that will make you drool. And for all your big eaters out there like me, I highly recommend the Grande Huevos Rancheros.

With black beans as good as Havana and a Sunday brunch divine enough to skip church, La Isla Restaurant offers a mix of authentic Cuban and Nuevo Latino cuisines to make you jump off your seat and dance to their fast beats. After indulging on some amazing French Toast dishes at a few brunch hot spots such as Anthony David's and Amanda's, I thought I had already tasted the best of its kind. So when a Hoboken resident told me about Buskers' brunch and their amazing Crab Cake Benedict, I literally sped walk downtown that Saturday afternoon and inhaled every crumb off my plate. Crab Cake in combination with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was a dish that these taste buds have never experienced, but I'll start off my review by telling you this - I was addicted after the first bite.

Usually, I'll run over to a nearby Italian deli and munch on a tasty egg and cheese sandwich to help cure my traditional Sunday hangover. But after hearing rave reviews from a few Hobokenites about Court Street's breakfast sandwich, I had to check it out for myself.
