Mission #2: Best Women’s Shoe Shops

Women need shoes. That’s a fact. Women cannot simply wear the same shoe every day. They need change and I, myself, as Hoboken Guy, understand that completely ladies. And whether you’re out on a hot date or simply strutting down Washington Street, you need shoes to support your everyday activities and lifestyle. Women need variety. Women need to spice up life. Women need to stay in fashion. Women need to look hot. C’mon fellas! You have to level with me here. Sure it’s tough when your girl buys a million pairs of high heels. But in the end, you gotta admit that there’s nothing better than walking around town with your arm around your lady when she’s looking oh so damn beautiful. And I truly believe that sexy shoes are the main ingredient to a woman’s sexy look.

THE MISSION

With this being said, I am excited to announce Hoboken Guy’s 2nd mission:

Find the Best Women’s Shoe Shops

Hoboken has its fair share of local women shoe shops to satisfy a lady’s ultimate necessity. For my first Shopping mission, I’m in search for the best women shoe stores of the mile square. But I ain’t no Al Bundy, and that’s why I’m going to need as much help as I can get from all you Hoboken ladies out there, for this is going to be one of my most challenging missions.

THE PROCESS

1) Over the next couple of weeks, I will scavenge across the mile square and visit various recommended women’s shoe stores given by the Hoboken community.

2) If I consider your recommended store worthy enough to be one of the best, I’ll write an extensive review, give you credit and dub thee as a “Hoboken Guy Sidekick”.

    Via mode is has a wide range of shoes, usually have a bunch on sale too. Definitely the best place to start if you have an outfit in mind. They carry great designers :) :) and lower names too.

    Platform sole is the best for comfort shoes, as long as you are willing to pay for it. If you can’t get to the mall and don’t want to order online, then they have the best in comfort with style.

    MMMMMmm can’t say I’m a big fan of Sheuphoria unless you love crocs…and Via Mode is more of a jobber than a reliable shoe store, BUT if that’s what you’re into and like “the hunt” for the thrill of maybe finding something every third time you go in, then go for it.

    Personally I think Platform Soul has a really good selection of shoes. Everything from sandals to flats to pumps to wedges. AND COMFORT! Its about time some designers jumped on board and started making comfortable shoes. Yes, it can be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. :-)

    Shoephoria (sp?) on 2nd and Hudson has the best customer service. I recently picked up a few cute pairs of ballet flats there. Via Mode’s customer service isn’t the best, but they do have a large selection. Platform Sole has less to choose from, but they are very attentive.
