Mission #4: Best Wi-Fi Hot Spots

Mission #4: Best Wi-Fi Hot Spots

Posted on 15. May, 2009 in Essentials

You’re tired of working from home because your kids are running around shooting water guns at you and your dog is constantly begging you for treats. Or you just need to take a break from that same ol’ office cubicle to spark that next big idea. I feel ya! And that is why I’ve decided to start another Hoboken Guy mission to find every free wi-fi hotspot in Hoboken. But wait, hasn’t a million other sites done this already? Yes! Most of the free wi-fi hotspots have been found, but the main goal of this mission is to find the best free wi-fi hotspot overall.

THE MISSION

Find the Best Wi-Fi Hot Spots

How many times have you been stuck at a cafe thinking there was free wireless, but you have to pay? How about when your battery is about to die and all the power outlets are taken? Or the location is so busy, you have no spot to sit. These are all things we should take into account before deciding to put in the effort of going to these locations.

THE PROCESS

1) Over the next couple of weeks, I will scavenge across the mile square and visit various recommended wi-fi cafes and restaurants recommended by the Hoboken community.

2) If I consider your recommended wi-fi hot spot worthy enough to be one of the best, I’ll write an extensive review, give you credit and dub thee as a “Hoboken Guy Sidekick”.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP

- Share your favorite wi-fi hot spot by commenting below or emailing me at tell@thehobokenguy.com. If you’re on Twitter, you can tweet me @thehobokenguy.

- Please specify the name and describe of the location (i.e. restaurant, bar, cafe)

- Describe why it deserves to be one of the best wi-fi hotspots in the mile square

With features such as arch support, raised toe bars and deep heel cups, the notable Germany brand Birkenstock offer plenty of comfort enhancements, as well as being probably the most legendary shoe brand.Birkenstock shoes conform somewhat to the shape of their wearers’ feet. You can wear Birkenstock sandals and Birkenstock gizeh to everywhere you want to. Latest Birkenstocks are on nearly 50% discount now. Free shipping worldwide!

I’ll put my vote in for Empire…not because I’ve ever used their wi-fi (I just know they advertise it), but because they simply have the best coffee in town.

@Taylor – Thanks man! I’ve seen this before and it’s definitely a great resource. What is missing is the details behind each place – how many plugs, the connection speed, seating space…that’s where I come in! :)

Thanks Joey!! I’ve passed by that place and every time I come by, it’s closed. I guess it’s just bad timing. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hey HG! Great blog!!! I love it. I recommend Legal Beans on Newark and Garden Street. Last time i was there, I accessed free wi-fi, lots of space and very good food.
