Over the next few days, you’ll be hearing live music and smelling irresistible food aroma traveling all the way from Jefferson Street in Hoboken. St. Ann’s Church will be hosting their annual festival to commemorate the feast of Saint Ann, the patron saint of women in the Roman Catholic Church. Today marks the festival’s 99th year, so come enjoy the games, rides, food and live entertainment this week. View dates, times and performance details after the jump.

Dates: Wednesday, July 22 to Sunday, July 26.
Time: 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Location St. Ann’s Church – 704 Jefferson Street (on 7th Street)

Food and Entertainment

From classic Italian foods to the festival’s infamous zeppolis and deep fried oreos, I guarantee you will walk home with a happy belly. And if you’re into the drinking thing, grab a pint at the back of St. Ann’s Church, where they will be serving cold beers and a showcasing live local bands. For the kids, they’ll also be providing the usual carnival games and rides, so bring your entire family!

St. Ann Devotion Ceremonies

A Novena in honor of St. Ann will occur for nine days, ending July 25th. On Sunday, July 26, the feast day of St. Ann will host a 12:00 pm Mass at St. Ann’s Church followed by the procession of a 600-pound statue of St. Ann through the streets of Hoboken.

Appearances

The festival will welcome newly elected Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano on opening night. Also, Hoboken’s “Cake Boss”, Buddy Valastro, owner of Carlo’s Bakery, will be awarded the 2009 St. Ann Festival Italian-American award this year.
