Hoboken is a city filled with restaurants that claim to have the best burger. There’s a certain level of expectation created when you crown your burger the best. But which burger officially sits on the throne? Many have talked highly of Five Guys, a fast food chain that's been known for the cause of burger and mouth love affairs across the country. If you're vegan, please do not click through. As I'm about to take you on a trip to yummyville where burgers are made fresh, juicy and loaded! Anyone wanna ride shot gun while I tour this beef masterpiece?

As I tackle another mission to find the best of Hoboken barbershops, I figured I'd start out by letting you in on my secret hot spot for getting my hair trimmed, neat and perfectly groomed. When I first moved to Hoboken, I was unimpressed with the quality of cuts given by the unisex chain salons across the mile square. Luckily, I had a college friend who had recommended D&V to save me from the usual uneven sideburns. For nearly 50 years, Dominick and Vincent's Barber Shop has provided the Hoboken community with precision cuts and fresh styles that will guarantee compliments.

As I continued my quest for the best adult rec rooms across the mile square, I had come to a realization that I forgot to review one of my town favorites. When I'm looking for a nice spot to relax after work and pound a few of those drink specials, I head over to the small friendly neighborhood Irish pub better known as Duffy's. I'm a big fan of great bars that sit off of Washington Street because they don't get too crowded and you'll usually meet some really friendly Hobokenites rather than the rude out-of-towners that tend to crawl the popular Washington Street bars. But if there's two main things I love about Duffy's: the great bartenders and the little nook of darts and buck hunter!

Now I'm not the type of person to spend $50 bucks at a fancy schmancy salon just for a haircut when you can get the same quality trim at another shop for a cheaper and better experience. I also avoid places that have stylists that clearly don't care about your hair. I'll admit it, I grew up going to one of those unisex hair salons like Pro-Haircutters and usually ended up with some random person who left my sideburns uneven. But since I've come to Hoboken, I've only trusted barbershops. Because let's face it fellas. Barbers know how to cut a man's hair. Need a free haircut? Keep reading!

To the Hoboken bar-hoppin' veterans, Black Bear is well-known for the perfect spot to meet up with friends, watch some sports on 1 of the 42 television screens and enjoy a nice, big bucket of some of the most delicious wings in the mile square. And while they do have dart boards, what really makes this bar stand out as one of the best rec rooms is its weekly Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament. Every Thursday night at 8:00pm, Black Bear teams up with Budweiser to sign up 32 intoxicated men and women to battle each other off in the most elegant and profound conflict resolution games of our childhood days. Check out this epic Thursday night battle!

Hoboken is pretty limited when it comes to shopping for those perfect shoes. Most of the Hoboken women I've talked to shop outside of the mile square, whether that's crossing the river and raiding the large selection of stores on 5th ave and downtown SOHO or taking the light rail to the nearby Newport Mall in Jersey City. But when you've got no time to shop for those matching shoes that you need for that party outfit tonight, you have no choice but to run to a few of those local women's shoe shops around town. And if you're looking for a shop that offers a variety of styles that are comfortable, well-made, fashionable and reliable, you have to check out Platform Soul.

Women need shoes. That's a fact. Women cannot simply wear the same shoe every day. They need change and I, myself, as Hoboken Guy, understand that completely ladies. And whether you're out on a hot date or simply strutting down Washington Street, you need shoes to support your everyday activities and lifestyle. Women need variety. Women need to spice up life. Women need to stay in fashion. Women need to look hot. C'mon fellas! You have to level with me here. Sure it's tough when your girl buys a million pairs of high heels. But in the end, you gotta admit that there's nothing better than walking around town with your arm around your lady when she's looking oh so damn beautiful. And I truly believe that sexy shoes are the main ingredient to a woman's sexy look.

Sometimes, brunch will make me real "crabby". And when I say "crabby", I refer to a personal state in which my taste buds rely solely on crab cakes to function normally. So when a Hoboken resident told me about Buskers' brunch and their amazing Crab Cake Benedict, I literally sped walk downtown that Saturday afternoon and inhaled every crumb off my plate. Crab Cake in combination with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was a dish that these taste buds have never experienced, but I'll start off my review by telling you this - I was addicted after the first bite.
