The Hoboken Guy

I have an obsession for cobblestone roads, especially ones that still exist around town that reminds Hoboken of its past. I took this photograph on Court Street, which runs between Hudson and Washington from 7th to Newark Streets. As you stare down this long deserted alleyway, you could almost flashback to the way it used to be hundreds of years ago, originally providing access to the residents’ mews or stables. Today it is used primarily as an alley and access for home garages. For me, it’s a quick and bumpy shortcut when I’m biking around town and want to avoid the heavy pedestrian traffic on good ol’ Washington Street.
