Memorial Day has always been a day of meditation for me. Although I haven’t lost anyone important in the line of duty, I did have a grandfather who once served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, as well as a few close friends that are currently fighting in Iraq. I was honored to attend this year’s Hoboken Memorial Day Parade, as I got a glimpse of those who have fought for us and remembering the fallen soldiers who have died for our nation’s service. To all those that have fought for our country, I raise our flag to you. Here’s a glimpse of this year’s parade.
